Multi-Language Support

Reaching international audiences starts with offering your comics in multiple languages. Panels Store makes it easy to publish and manage multi-language versions within a single comic entry.

How It Works​

Panels Store supports multiple languages within the same comic publication. Readers can select their preferred language and get the appropriate version.

What's shared across languages:

  • Price
  • Age rating
  • Creator credits
  • Categories
  • Publication date

What's unique per language:

  • Comic files (the actual comic content)
  • Title
  • Synopsis/description

Adding Multiple Languages to a Comic​

During Initial Upload​

When publishing a comic:

  1. Go to My Store → Publish Comic
  2. Fill in the first language (usually your primary language):
    • Select language from dropdown
    • Add title and synopsis
    • Upload comic file(s) for that language
  3. Click Add language (+ button)
  4. Select the additional language
  5. Provide title, synopsis, and file(s) for that language
  6. Repeat for all languages you want to offer
  7. Fill in shared metadata (price, creators, age rating, etc.)
  8. Publish

All languages are published together as one comic entry.

Adding Languages to Existing Comics​

To add a new language to an already-published comic:

  1. Go to My Comics
  2. Select the comic
  3. Click Edit
  4. Click Add language
  5. Select the new language
  6. Provide title, synopsis, and upload files
  7. Save changes

The new language becomes immediately available to readers.

Reader Experience​

Language Selection​

When readers view your comic:

  • They see it's available in multiple languages
  • They can select their preferred language
  • Title and description update to match their selection
  • Download/read buttons provide files in chosen language

Purchasing​

Readers purchase the comic once and get access to all available languages:

  • One purchase = all language versions
  • They can switch between languages freely
  • Can download files in any/all languages
